that by pulling out investments in the West and moving them to Chinese markets will only make their situation much worse than it is. They will get screwed by either side regardless but moreso by the Chinese.

point is, they're pulling out of western markets out of emotional reasons, not financial

kind of like how they thought that boycotting danish products was a good idea - turns out denmark exports multiplied due to increased US consumption after we saw what the muslims were doing

The rich/successful nations like Saudi Arabia, Oman, U.A.E, etc... will continue to invest in the best options.

According to the CNN/Time news; Iran, Venezuela, (I know is not from ME) and Pakistan are pulling all of their investments out of europe and usa and investing in Chinese markets.

This isn't going to happen IMO because it is just tough talk from idiot despots.

The main thing is that China is moving into places where the US has lost support/influence and is replacing that with their own. This is exactly what the United States did when the Europeans were losing ground in their colonial lands. The people in places like the Phillipines or Indonesia would be bought by Chinese goodwill after overall trust/relations with US are low.

These people don't/shouldn't concern us

China should concern us. They have learned from our mistakes the same way we learned from Europe last century. Of course, it took two world wars in Europe to launch us into superpower status so I guess if we don't have something equally disastrous over here then we should be okay in the long run.
