Yeah, I know there have been lots of threads, but another won't hurt. I remember someone suggesting 4 movies (Cannibal Holocaust, Irreversible, Funny Games, and Man Bites Dog).

I managed to download Cannibal Holocaust and watch it, and boy was it.... disturbing. It kind of reminded me of the Blair Witch Project with the recovered footage, but wow was that graphic. Unless they really pulled a fast one on me, I am pretty sure they actually killed a huge turtle in the movie. The movie left very little to the imagination. I am looking forward to watching the other 3, which should be easy now that I am using torrents.

My favorite scary movies are The Ring, Saw (1 and 2), Blair Witch Project (the first time I watched it, it was really neat), The Exorcist.... and I think that's about it. I know these are probably lame compared to some of the rarer films some of you have seen, so that's why you gotta post them and let me know what to download.

They actually killed 2 turtles cuz they filmed that scene twice, all the animal killings in that movie used real animals

I'd Suggest some older Wes Craven stuff, like the original Hills have eyes, Serpent and the Rainbow, last house on the left

Irreversible is disturbing as hell but it isn't a scary movie. Also Man Bites Dog is a comedy.

Check out Audition. It's creepy as hell.

You can't go wrong with The Shining.

^ (a couple)
Last House on the Left is pretty good.
the only thing is that by today's standards is nothing too bad. Back then it was really out there and people thought it was the work of satan basically. Saying it was like damn near snuff. But nowadays it isn't too hard to watch at all.

Bought it at Best Buy for under 10 bucks a few weeks back myself. It's worth that much to me.. Wes Craven's first movie, he used to be so awesome. It's hella 70's so the dialogue/acting/quality is really shot, but what can you expect.

The concept for the movie/ending is really fucking cool though.

in related news... there's a straight to DVD movie that was just released called CHAOS.. i wanna say it was produced by one of the wwf or wwe production companies. anyways, it's a total rip off of Last House of the Left, like carbon copy, and doesn't give them any credits/inpired by props. Really pissing off craven and company

You should check out Jacob's Ladder. Maybe not scary, but definitely freaky.

Yeah I totally LOL'd when they raped the housewife and then we got a shot of her gored body....

Anyway, rent Funny Games, it's great.
