if shipping is free and no tax, yes

otherwise, get one off of anandtech forums or something where someone bought a system and didn't need the monitor

The E207WP will be out in a week or two on Dell.com, it's MSRP is $350, a full 100 bucks less than the 2007WFP. Same resolution, no card reader or USB hub. Should be available for ~275 bucks.

if you don't really need the USB hub or composite/s-video connections. Or you could spend a little more and get a monitor with HD support.

could be wrong on this one, but aren't the "E" models the non-ultrasharps that only have analog input? just in case it matters

1,680 x 1,050 widescreen resolution, 20.1-inch viewing area and a DVI port with HDCP
800:1 contrast ratio and up to 300 cd/m² brightness for excellent color accuracy and uniformity

that's pretty close to the ultrasharps

the ms ratings are all marketing mumbo jumbo now anyway.

and the panel in the e207 is the same as in the 2007wfp, or should be anyway. the explanation from the dell guy i talked to was they simply removed the "extras" and give you the bare monitor

e207 = TN panel

When I had this monitor, I didn't think that I would use the USB hub, but I ended up using it allof the time.

ha! my gf suprised me and bought it for me! awwwwwww

i have it now hooked up via analog VGA cable. however i can't get the DVI connection to work. im using a 7600GT dual head DVI card. i have DVI->VGA adapter on it now to use VGA at the proper resolution, etc. but wheni switch to the DVI cable/connection, themonitor just goes blank and goes to sleep. I can't find any 'DVI on/off' settings anywhere.. any ideas? wtf man

just out of curiosity, I am looking at new monitors and thinking about getting widescreen, but my current video card is a Gforce Ti4400 128mb AGP. Eventually I am going to buy a new computer and a pci-e video card that supports these crazy widescreen resolutions, but until then, what will it look like if I hook this up to my DVI output with my current video card?

Dell probably isn't going to have any more retardo good deals until after the new year, except MAYBE something in a week and a half or so for the last minute christmas rush.

Most of the good monitor deals came and went with Black Friday, and damn there were some good ones.
