I recently bought a company, and the domain name for the company website was transfered to me. My question, how do I change what is on the web site? All I have is the domain name, and I have no Idea who is hosting it.

A similar analogy would go something along the lines of: I bought a house, and I have a physical address, but I was never given a key to get inside the house.

You need to talk to the former owner of the house/website and find out whether or not you are allowed to inherit anything that might be in said house/website. If you are, ask how you can get access to said content. If you aren't, ask them to remove said content so you can move your own content in there with whatever host you want.

1) ask the guy for these things--
a) who is your registrar and where can you access their control panel - this is to change things like your contact info on the domain WHOIS and to renew registration
b) who is your current webhost and where can you access their control panel and FTP - the control panel will provide useful tools and the FTP will let you change the website

2) go to http://www.whois.org or http://www.opensrs.net and make sure the domain has been transferred to your name and most importantly, to an e-mail address that you can access. If it hasn't, go beat the guy up. and then go into 1a and transfer ownership to yourself.

If you can't get up with that guy, you can always just buy another hosting account, and point your domain name to your new hosting.

The domain name is likely registered and maintained by a different company than the company that was actually hosting the content of the website.

I got it all taken care of, I just got another site to host my site, and just had to change the server stuff, and redo a new website.
