it sounds to me like the manager tried to resolve the situation with free food; however, they thought it was not enough because he didn't reprimand the server infront of them.

The management tried to resolve the situation. She obviously didn't want the situation resolved.

i'm white as hell and this has happened to me at applebees, ruby tuesday, golden corral, and a bunch of other places. sounds to me like they just got a bad or overworked waitress. but i'm glad to see al sharpton is getting invovled, i'm sure he'll see that it isn't racist since he's always the voice of reason

Hell, I was in some atlanta chili's last weekend and it took over an hour to get served, i complained to the manager, but he was some fucking asshole who just talked about his goat and how only people with more shit than him get prompt service.

i've worked in several different restaurants and i've noticed that black people always:

-demand the most
-tip the least
-complain to the managers more often then anyone else to get free food

the really sad thing is that simply b/c sharpton picked up on this, the media is now all over it. I think that cracker barrel will do what makes the most bus. sense in my mind. settle out of court for an undisclosed amount to both the sharpton orginization and rock's mamma. If a normal joe shmoe had fought they would of fought with everything they have, but at this point its more about damage control. Even if they take it to court to counter-sue the end result is the association of cracker barrel and racism.... even if they come out ahead in the end and win, thats months of publicity they dont want.

also in the process all of there back history gets brought up by the media. this will NEVER make it to trial. they cant let it... and sharpton knows this, he is one sly bastard is what he is. Whats even worse is that i should be supporting the guy, i am not even white...
