I want to take scuba in the Spring, so I'm gonna sign up for PE 226 and the practice lab thing PE 229. I didn't take intermediate swimming, so how is the swim test? I heard you have to just swim laps for 30 or 40 minutes...that true?

Also, for PE 229 there are 4 sections for the Spring, and two of them are 1 hr 50 min and the other two are 2 hr 45 min. They both meet once a week, so why would the times differ so drastically? I tried to email one of the scuba instructors, but I gues PE teachers don't check their email regularly.
