yes!

i remember there was a little controversy about the showing going to far (by fucking with people's mental stability), and then it eventually got cancelled. i was pissed, because that was one of my favorite shows. well, i just saw this long promo on vh1 for "celebrity paranormal project". it's the same as mtv's, "fear", in format. the only thing different is that instead of using regular people, c-list celebrities will be doing the investigating of haunted places.

i'm fucking stoked! first episode is this sunday, oct. 21st @ 10pm est.

fear was pretty cool. i specifically remember one episode where some dude went to investigate an attic to win the entire challange or whatever.

so he goes up there and there's like a fucking person hanging from a noose, or sitting in a chair in the middle of the room, cant rememebr which. anyway, he freaks out and runs away, complaining that something is chasing him. he gets back to the safe room and the show ends with no explanation for what the fuck was in the attic or what was "chasing" him

that has always bothered me.

The best episode by far is Mina Dos Estrellas I. It's the only episode where every participant quits before completing the challenges. Some fucked up shit happens to those kids. And something starts knocking out the stationary cameras MTV had set up in different locations preventing them from being able to even attempt some of the challenges MTV had created.

i remember one where this gay, black dude had to remove a sheet that was covering an electric chair. he was freeeeeeeeaking out. when he finally got up the nerve to remove the sheet, he let out a shriek as he did it. one of the funniest things i've ever seen in my life.

gary busey is going to be on it. just having him is good enough, but put him in a psychological mindfuck situation... oh boy! it's bound be a hella good time.

wasn't Fear staged? The dude hanging from a noose was probably a prop

It wasn't staged, but I'm convinced they added some of the sounds in. They also didn't use the real names of the locations they were investigating.

they (the property owners) probably didn't want the locations to be flooded with a bunch of kids who watched the show.

yep. he's like "I'm cold!" and the dude in the control booth (bob from mr show) is like "andy, you're next to the cooler."

or when he goes into the bathroom and he's like "it smells like the devil pinched a loaf in here!"

i remember this one... but i remember that when he pulled the sheet, the chair slid over like a foot. plus they totally had it rigged to look like there was a person in the chair.

Good show, a lot like MTV's Fear. In fact, I think they may be visiting some of the same places.

it is mtv's fear. that's wrote, "vh1 brings back mtv's old show, fear", as the thread title.

Yes, thank you i know what the title of the thread is. I was only commenting on the fact that the show is similar to MTV's Fear but not the exact same. I have every episode of MTV's Fear and there are differences. The show is not the exact same, right down to the added sounds. I think VH1 is adding more "effects" in this show than MTV did.

When Gary Busey said he heard a Mechanical Tiger I almost fell in the Floor! He really was crazier than anything that happened to them in that building.

I'm pretty sure he was just being "Gary". It seemed like at that point the others weren't even acknowledging his crazy talk anymore. Smart of them.

ABC Family is showing a marathon of "The Scariest Places on Earth" today 10/29. It's very similar to MTV's Fear in case anyone's interested.
