The stabbing occurred as University High School in east Orlando, Florida, was letting out for the day, Blocker said. Solomons said police were investigating whether the incident was gang-related but that it did not appear to be. "It appears to be a grudge ... over a female," he said. Afterward, outside the school, a group of students held hands and prayed. "

Schools really need a zero tolerance policy for things like this. You beat another student, we get a giant man to beat you. You stab a student, we get someone to stab you. An eye for an eye in instances like this. However, I realize some of those hardcore crazy emo school shooters want to kill themselves anyway, so we'd have to like, make them work at Build a Bear or something.

Or a child-control bill. Make it a federal offense for any children to come within 1000 ft. of a school zone. (Of course, these folks are 15 and 17, so calling them "children" may be a bit much.)

If only we gave knives out to every student, that would solve the problem. that way you have self defense, and if you see someone in troubling, you can run up and start stabbing the perceived aggressor. If a couple of students have knives, I want my kids, my friends, and anyone I know or they know to have knives too! You can't close the pandora's box of knives, so theres no point in trying to keep knives away from school, what you need is as many knives as possible to solve the problem.
