i'm looking for something that sells spices (like nutmeg, cloves, etc) in small packages. i don't want the $7 bottle from the grocery store because i only need a little bit. does anyone know anywhere that does this? like a few tablespoons worth.
also, fresh market has small bags, but they're still kinda too much (quantity) and i don't know how the prices compare. i mean i guess if there's no where else i'll get it from there, but... anyone, anyone? thanks! 10/21/2006 4:06:27 PM |

and i would ask neighbors but i have a list of like 6 of them that i need, so i'd probably end up having to go buy some anyways. 10/21/2006 4:25:47 PM |

They also sell cinnamon plus mixes that already have ground nutmeg, cloves, allspice, etc in one bottle. 10/21/2006 5:09:00 PM |

^ not really. the large bottles lose their potency fairly quickly anyways. always better to get as much as you need and ensure you have fresh spices 10/21/2006 7:43:26 PM |

Just so you know - if you need rosemary, there's a lot of it behind Patterson. 10/21/2006 7:45:12 PM |

both southern season and world market sell spices in small bags (depending on the spice, they generally cost somewhere between 50 cents and 2 dollars, although most are under a dollar). you can get cheap, old spices at most dollar stores. if you're just using them for potpourri-type stuff and not cooking, they're passable. 10/22/2006 1:44:55 PM |
