Not surprising considering we lost everybody except Engin and Gavin. It should be motivation for Lowe and his team to try and prove some of these voters wrong.

I think this is crazy.

I won't be surprised at all if we go 8-8 in the ACC.

Our starting lineup is pretty damn solid.

Our bench is weak but sometimes too much depth can cause problems. We just need to really focus on conditioning.

all the haters/detractors can go ahead and identify themselves right now.

Atsur (solid veteran)
Fells (breakout potential)
Grant (star potential)
Costner (McDonalds All American)
McCauley (question mark, fundamentally sound)

Ill put that lineup up against most starting lineups in the ACC. Yes, our bench is non-existent but we are really young... we've got a freshman, 2 sophs, 1 jr, 1 sr starting with a blue chip big man on the way.

The basketball program is in good shape for the future. We have plenty of scholarships and playing time available in the near future so recruiting should yield good things.

Dont overlook how much less excrutiating our games will be to watch without Herb here.

UNC is going to be nasty this year and most years. Because they have Roy Williams.

We'll have to get used to that.

Duke wont be shit this year.

12th? Yeah fucking right. The fact that Evtimov isn't on the team automatically makes them a sixth place favorite.

depth is overated. if players are conditioned they can make it through the whole game. the only problem will be foul trouble. george mason made it with 6-7 guys.

Anyone who wants to say we would be better off having Herb around this year and killing ourselves for the future needs to leave right now and give up their opportunity to attend more games.

ya this year is like a revolutionary war for state ball. things were better than war but things were bad enough to go to war to better the future. now that we got the british out things are in shambles momentarily but thats jsut the price you pay for revolution. when the new government gets on its feet things will be better than ever.

We shouldn't be that bad once Ferguson is eligible in late December. My early prediction is that we finish in the middle of the conference.

But since we haven't seen the team play at all yet, there's no way to really know. Could be higher or lower.

Only reason we might make it to 8-8 this year is that the ACC as a whole should suck pretty bad. In a normal ACC, we're definitely bottom of the barrel. Hopefully we can take advantage, unlike the football team this year.

As a WPC member and someone who goes to EVERY game, I just want to say that most of the people that actually GO to basketball games liked Herb, but most of them will support our team no matter what. So can we get ride of Chuck so we can build on our football future?

^^chuck IS our football future. herb did nothing but get worse over the course of each season. amato finishes strong and brings stellar athletes into raleigh. It takes ass time to build a football program.

and herbs offense was boring and shutdown completely at times. face it. we didnt even get rid of him he left anyway.

Wow

I don't think he's gonna be that much better this year than last year.

Plus he's gonna have a ton of minutes and scoring opportunities stolen by their 2 freshman bigs.

I'm gonna say McRoberts, because he will be Duke's whole offense.

Chuck Amato 5-6, 7-5, 3-4.

he had unfortunate situation with stone that set him back 2 years (imagine what we wouldve done if stone was really the #2 qb in his class and a dual threat qb.
