What is the code used to post pictures smaller and then click on the to see the larger photos? I am trying to use this on my website but can't find or remember the code for it. Anyone know?

You need to resize each photo(using photoshop/gimp/etc) to create thumbnail images. So you'll have two sets of images. Make each small image a link to the bigger version like so:

That method forces the user to download the entire image, just for the thumbnail. The point of thumbnails is to allow you to view all the photos quickly, then choose the one you want to wait for to download.

If all your visitors are broadband, it doesn't matter.

Also, 100x100 will probably warp your photos. Stick with some ratio of 8x6.

making it 4x3 could just as easily warp it (not safe to assume the original size of the kids pics)

the smaller image should be scaled down from the original, as in... though smaller the two sides should have the same ratio as the orginal.

if you want an example go to somebody's tww photo gallery. Right click on one of the thumbnails and click "view image", look at the file name, there's a "t" before the .jpg. Then in the address bar delete the "t" and you'll see the original image (notice that the thumbnails aren't all 100x100 or some ratio of 4x3, they are in proportion to the actual image). So when you load a picture into your tww photogallery it stores the pic and creates a second scaled down version of that picture to use for the thumbnail, the thumbnail file gets the same name as the actual picture but with a "t" at the end to keep things simple.

also if you don't know how to scale an image down and don't to use that program you could always just upload them to your photogallery here then view the image of the thumbnail and save the picture for use on your website.

that being said there is no correct answer, just a couple ways to do it and as stated one is better suited to meet the requirements of anyone who views your site regardless of their connection speed.

I use Irfanview to make my thumbnails page but this is the code.

pic.jpg is the fullsize picture and pic_t.jpg is the thumbnail, you'll have to mess around with the format depending on how you position your pictures on your page.
