The rowing club's jon boat sank this past week, and our 15 hp engine obviously won't start now. We let it dry out, but seems like it'll need to go into the shop. We pull the cord and the engine won't turn over.
What exactly could be wrong? Can we fix it ourselves?
How much would it cost to get it fixed at a marine shop? 10/30/2006 6:28:19 PM |

take the plugs out, turn it over to get all the water out, but it may be rusted up by now, try pouring about an ounce of transmission fluid or wd-40 in the sprak plug holes and let it sit overnight, that should break it free 10/30/2006 7:05:39 PM |

it wasn't running when it sank. our coach was getting in and the boat began to tip towards him, allowing water to enter over the side, and it filled quickly, eventually flipping 10/31/2006 2:03:40 PM |
