Anybody knows what's wrong? It's a 94 BMW 540.

^but that's not something you can change about the car so....

could be a few things, don't really know how it's set up on your car
could be electrical
could be a bad connection or contact
could be the solenoid not letting hot coolant into the heater core
could be a bad heater core
could be a broken/disconnected lever for a solenoid

shouldnt the first thing to do be to check the coolant level?

check the ~1" rubber hoses that go into the firewall and see if they get hot after the engine is at operating temp; they should be hot.

Sounds like it could be a thermostat stuck open

I have the same problem right now, its the blend door motor or actuator on mine.
