yes, move to a non emissions county. inspections are $9 at that point.

Inspection stations can only charge the same as every other inspector in their county.

wrong.

inspectors have to charge at least a minimum price. there is also a set maximum price. good luck finding a place that charges less than the maximum amount.

you can exempt the emissions test or the inspection altogether based on the age or location of where your car is registered.


now, i would take it to a place that only does inspections cause some sketchy garages will "find" something wrong with your car.
