Okay,
So it was pointed out to me by Vlad that ive been running my bike on prime all the time...If i put it to On or Reserve (i though pri was primary for some ungodly reason) it cuts off unless i really really lay on the gas. I dont know a hole lot but i think it could be that there isnt a vaccume or that the diaphram is stuck. Do you have any suggestions on quick easy things to check? 11/2/2006 8:06:48 PM |

igor still has my old katana battery, it should be in good condition. i only bought it a few weeks before i got rid of that bike. so it's been sitting in his garage. if he dont wanna part with it, go to cycle gear. 11/3/2006 8:48:12 AM |

How hard is it to replace the resistor stip...so i take it the gauge is eletronic.

vacuum hose is connected to the intake between carburators and the engine head, or possibly to carburators directly. it will be the thinner one of the two hoses cnonected to the petcock.
as far as the fuel gauge, make sure you check all the connections between the tank and the gauge first before you buy the sending unit (which is possibly the problem like keith said), just to make sure. 11/3/2006 3:33:29 PM |

advance auto also has advance auto brand motorcycle oil which should above and beyond the specs that bucket of a motorcycle requires. and with all the money saved you can buy yourself about five bags of advance auto brand cashews. 11/4/2006 8:21:42 PM |

Anybody know how to tell if all four cylinders are firing, I was riding aroudn today and it didtn feel nearly as peppy as it usually does, and seems liek the exhaust note has changed. I also wiched from 93 to 87 and added a bottle of seafoam so that might be affecting it. The only other change was a new battery. 11/13/2006 8:32:55 PM |

Well i just did the gloved hand test, they were all hot, so i guess they are all firing, im wondering if the seafoam at like 2x the normal concentration is just killing the power? 11/14/2006 9:31:17 AM |

Okay ill run through this tank of gas, i might go back to 93 octane, or just do a partial tank of 87 and then a partial of 93 and see if there is any difference besides in my wallet. 11/14/2006 9:51:11 AM |

I drained the current gas (with lots of seafoam) and put in 93, and its running better. When if irst got the bike this was not a problem, it was only recently the chnages i have made are replacing the battery and running seafoam. I got a can of carb cleaner im going to put in it 11/14/2006 11:14:00 PM |
