in a couple years, i could probably afford a lambo if i didnt want a nice house.

i could live in a 90K town home, and spend another 90K on a used exotic. and people would talk about me on the wolf web.

Yeah, thats pretty crazy to live in a townhome and drive on of those. then again, maybe he travels alot. And I wouldn't fuckin purchase some huge mansion that I rarely lived in, when I could just own a nice townhome. When I first saw it, I was like, hockey player maybe. Guess I was wrong. But on any given day, I can go down glenwood and see maseratis', ferraris', and Phantoms.

I always thought that top dollar entertainers were the people driving these machines. Them and athletes. Puff is top dollar$$

even if you don't travel alot, what's the use in having a $1 million dollar house, when a $150,000 townhouse would be adequate? i mean, if i were a millionaire right now, i wouldn't mind owning a nice $300,000 studio apartment downtown, and then own a couple of dank cars. why do you have to have a huge mansion if you own an exotic? that's some dumbass logic.

also, alot of millionaires drive average cars, toyota and lexus seem to be popular with them. you probably wouldn't recognize most millionaires because they're pretty frugel with their money.

^shut up. If I could afford it I sure as hell would buy one too. And I wouldn't give a damn what kind of home I had. I'd much rather have my dream car than my dream home.

who cares if someone wants a nice car and an average townhome? your desire to have a nice home and an average car isn't any better.

^yes it is
a car is a highly depreciating asset
where as a home will grow in value

throwing money at a lambo while you live in a townhome is a stupid waste of money......in a few years the guy will have considerably less than he started with

^true.

i really dont care what the guy does. but there is something called financial planning. something he and just about every person out there with rims on a shitty car and a trailer home needs to look at.

then again, like others have said, he may not live in a town home because thats what we "heard".

but its stupid decisions that people make that makes them the target of stereotypes. or whatever.

now if he has his right mirror knocked off, i would def make some changes to my everyday routine.

Having the equity of a $1 million dollar house in an exclusive area.

It's a bit more of a sure thing than a car increasing in value.

Plus you'd have to garage and baby the car if you wanted it worth any significant amount anyway (and not park it on hillsborough street).

It would suck for that guy to come across whoever buys this thing from Leith VW. HPA Motorsports New Beetle. For specs on the twin turbo/4 motion swaps, check HPA's website.

Not my taste at all, but.......what a sleeper, a New Beetle with 565bhp and 4WD.

there's no way he's pulling in enough money to afford those three cars on a GS salary alone...

there's got to be some outside income coming into play.

There is a very good chance that he is making over 2M per year working for the DOD. Most DOD guys are contractors. When they actucally win a Gov. bid, they just sub it out and keep the profit. One of my friends up in DC just bought a Ferrari and he is a DOD contractor...

i like my civic

but i drove a 525i last week and loved it

if i could afford it, i would spend about 50-75K on a car and that would be it, nice M3 would suit me fine

then he doesn't "work for DOD"

he's a contractor...which means that he works for a company that is contracting out a service to dod.

saying "he works for DOD" is not the same as saying "he's a contractor for DOD"

that being said, if he does own a company which was awarded a contract, then that is entirely financially/mathematically possible.

however a GS salary is not affording him that opportunity on it's own

[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 10:16 AM. Reason : .]

and if it does, I want to talk to his financial planner

theres a guy who parks a 360 over in the apartments at the corner of st. marys and wade

it's always parked out on the street behind a 4runner or tahoe.

the townhouses are pretty nice though

who cares if he works for DOD or not. Still doesn't negate the fact that he owns a lambo... Besides, he could have inherited the money. 80% of the wealth is from inheritance anyways.
