ya i just checked we would be ahead of clemson fsu unc duke and virginia should lose tehir next 2 miami will likely be tied. could put us 6th or 7th. but we would definately make a bowl since there are 8

miami has to play maryland, BC, and virginia. they'll win at virginia, the other two are toss ups with how they've been playing (probably losses) so miami ends the season 6-6 but they are miami so they get picked to go to a bowl in the 7th acc slot. FSU has a tough last 3 games, wake and florida but they also w. michigan. so they end 6-6 they beat miami, but miami only lost to ranked teams (well they lost to FSU but FSU was ranked at the time) so they get bowl #8. meanwhile we miraculously winout and finish 6-6. we beat several ranked teams, but also lost to the likes of akron and are including a 2A team in our 6-6 record. so we get nothing, bowls pick who will bring them the most money. NC state would never get a nod over miami or fsu

but clemson is going to beat our ass since tommy bowden is gonna kick the crap out of them for imploding so we finish 5-6 assuming we can actually beat UNC and ECU

The rules set new parameters for how teams would be selected as well as officially swapped the picks for the Chick-Fil-A and Gator Bowls. Under the new agreement, the ACC championship game loser cannot fall below the Music City Bowl (5th pick). Furthermore, a bowl game can bypass a team in the selection process only if the two teams in question are within one game of each other in the overall ACC standings."

in the case on an NCSU winout clemson and ncsu would both be 4-4 with ncsu holding the tie breaker, but clemson would have more wins and since the 6th bowl is in charlotte would sell a lot of tickets since they are from SC.and would get the 6th nod. FSU and NCSU would both be 4-4 in acc play with ncsu holding the tie-breaker. but assuming FSU also is only 6-6 and doesn't get in on a better overall record FSU would sell more seats to a bowl in san fran and gets the 7th nod. ncsu would have a better acc record at 4-4 than miami at 3-5, but miami has national recognition. they are within one game of each other and the 8th bowl in idaho selects miami.
