Been looking at this 22" widescreen LCD.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824112005

1200:1 contrast
5ms response
Horizontal Refresh Rate Digital: 31 kHz - 80 kHz
Vertical Refresh Rate Digital: 50 Hz - 75 Hz
Dimensions (W×H×D) 19.0" x 22.0" x 4.6"

read the reviews (only 5 of them, its new to new egg), did a little research, tried to find them on toms hardware etc. basically i saw that they primarily manufacture displays, saw a few reviews here and there on a few sites, basically all good, but very limited.

Anyone have any experience or knowledge of this brand? for the price the stats of this monitor seem very good. I would be using this monitor for gaming.

Thanks

Some people are saying that the brightness isn't evenly spread on the display (the upper part looks darker than the lower part)

But other than that, it's still a smashing deal for an HD LCD

I've got the 20" Widescreen HD monitor, X20G NagaIII. It is a great monitor and perfect for gaming. Make sure you do some research to see if these are shipping with the latest firmware update because the model i got did not. I had to RMA it, the picture would tear and jump without the update. Since i got it back it runs like a beauty, no complaints. Did not have any issues with brightness differences throughout the display but it may be an issue with the 22" model. Sceptre in general seems to have a very high customer rating from what I have seen online and customer support was top notch. Hope this helps.

nice

newegg has a year replacement on this item. If i can figure out the $ i might pick this up this week.

I built my new PC about a year ago, and it still does great gaming, but my 19" CRT, despite its good picture, is huge on my desk, and ive been wanting to try out a widescreen for my gaming.

I had a sceptre laptop a while back and I was duly impressed with it. The LCD was great. They make their own LCD's that's what its so cheap.

I've had a sceptre 19" LCD for two years. Definitely great value for the $$$. I was pleasantly surprised with the picture quality.

ever gamed on 22"+ widescreens? a lot of times companyies are cheap and dont give any wider stands for these larger ones than they do to 17" monitors, thus they will shake.

i see that review on quite a few larger monitors on newegg, costco etc

So newegg is advertising this thing as being compatible with a 1080p HD input. Can any of you guys who have it confirm that? I'm pretty much set on this monitor.

not sure but

Maximum Resolution 1680 x 1050

is not going to really be 1080p which is 1920*1080 resolution. Will it work with 1080p content as long as your computer can play it? I'm sure, but technically it can't go as high as what 1080p is supposed to be. I wouldn't worry about that though. With HDMI it would probably bad ass though from a blue ray player but I'd get a big screen for seeing the difference with that, etc.

Just tried out the 19" LCD before I box it back up for the GF , not the widescreen one, from Sceptre and I thought it was pretty dam nice for the price, 130 after rebate. Was the cheapest 19" one I could find with a DVI port. Yeah only complaint is it can be a little bit wobbly if your desk is flimsy, or you're one of those people who like to poke the shit outta the LCD screen when you're pointing out something. I'm pretty sure that theres one of those 22" WS ones up at tiger where I bought mine so you can actually look at it for the brightness, picture, etc. Thing is their Sceptre models are labeled in the tigerdirect online store under the name "Famous Brand", even though I went to the store and they say in big letters on the box "SCEPTRE."

Looking at that pic on newegg though it looks like its the same base as my 19" one so it'll probably be even more flimsy for a 22." Check it out first though.
