Anyone know why these come on usually? I just had the spark plugs and all replaced so that shouldn't be the reason. It's a 2001 XJ, and I was told that it probably has nothing to do with needing an oil change.
Thanks for the help! 11/8/2006 9:35:32 PM |

Take it to Advance auto and ask them to pull the codes for you. It's free and they will give you a printout with exactly what the computer is complaining about. Post back here once you find out the codes and someone can figure out what you should do. 11/8/2006 9:49:21 PM |

so I took it up there and the guy didn't even have to print anything out. This computer told him what was up. My gas cap wasn't tight enough. Small problem, that I thought I had fixed. So, I then went down to Meineke to change the oil and rotate tires, something I normally do, and the guy then wanted to charge me $300 to change the rotors and pads. No thanks, I'll do it myself for less than half of that.
But thanks for the tip on AAP 11/9/2006 1:33:41 PM |

I live with a Jeep freak, and most of the people we hang around with are Jeep freaks too.....so we will probably just wrench on mine next weekend changing all of that stuff out. 11/10/2006 1:19:51 AM |
