its exactly the same as cod2, except for some pointless add ons like the hand to hand thing

decent game

i've already hit a few bugs, seems like they rushed it out a little bit

i think ill rent it sometime since i got gow...i think i might grab th8 cause th were always fun games...ive read in some reviews though that the framerate stutters from time to time

but hows the MP for this game? is like it was on the pc? cause i used to play that for hours

To their credit, they added a handful of new weapons, including land mines for multiplayer.

My biggest beef with the multiplayer is that the vehicles have the same physics as the warthog in halo.

I haven't played this much...i'm definitly not impressed but it does seem like it could be fun and better than CoD3....but by no means 'next gen'. The WWII FPS to really wait for is Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway and Medal of Honor: Airborne. although brothers in arms looks 100000 times better than airborne.

Brothers in Arms was pretty much the bomb diggity of wwii games.

CoD3 has pissed me off a few times because I'll expose myself expecting some kind of covering fire, or at least for someone to shoot the german who is bludgeoning me to death 4 feet in front of them, but the AI is pretty dumb and lifeless.

I miss my assault squad.

finished it over the weekend.

overall it was a real let down compared to the first. of course part of that was limiting levels to a single battle instead of having the entire war being covered. every single mission objective was something along the lines of "fight through french town."

and thats why i didnt get it, haha. i picked up gow and th8 (from a website for $44)...

might check out rainbow six vegas since it was a pretty cool demo.

i got the "achievement unlocked" message every time i finished a mission, but the levels were all so similar i feel like i would be bored out of my mind if i played through it again.

btw, the hand to hand fighting that they hyped up was a let down, it was just very scripted moments of a german jumping out and then you alternating left and right triggers to over power him and then pressing a specified button to finish them - no real challenge.

rent this instead of buying.
