i really like zombie nation, but there might not be a more overplayed song in recent sporting history. when i'm at a game though, and they play it, its hard not to be a little pumped.

apparently it's a common mistake:

Quote :
"Kernkraft 400

The track Kernkraft 400, specifically the Sport Chant Remix, is popular at North American sporting events, used by numerous arenas as their goal-celebration song, and many more as a motivational beat. The song gained widespread popularity at other sporting events after being used by Wake Forest University for athletic events.

Many people believe the band to be named "Kernkraft 400" and the song to be "Zombie Nation". This is most likely due to multiple factors: the song chants "Zombie Nation," the band is a one-hit wonder in the United States and therefore not well known; the song could be said to sound like a nation of zombies chanting; and file sharing, where anyone can change the name of a file and thousands can download it in a short period of time, which became popular soon after the song was released.

A remix of this song was featured on the soundtrack for Shaun of the Dead.

It is one of the fight songs used for the Penn State Nittany Lions, and pro's baseball team, Boston Red Sox, among others. Students from Penn State frequently modify the original version during football games to express their school pride as they chant, "We are Penn State" after the end of every chorus. Due to many students bouncing on the bleachers during this song, the local newspaper reported that administrators at PSU are phasing out the song in effort to stop students from breaking the seats. At the University of Illinois, it is the theme song for the Orange Krush student section and is played before tip-off at every game."

Its weird that the song (Kernkraft 400) is everywhere now... I mean, it was all over the place when it first came out but I had forgotten about it until 2-3 years ago when you started hearing it again.

Of course, when I heard it the first time around 99-01 I was usually completely fucked up haha

Pedophile Gary Glitter will never have to worry about money because people love doing goofy dances and saying "HEEEEY!" in large groups.

And I'm okay with that.

HEEEEY!

Quote :
" Hello out there, we're on the air, it's 'Hockey Night' tonight.
Tension grows, the wistle blows, and the puck goes down the ice.
The goalie jumps, and the players bump, and the fans all go insane.
Someone roars, "Bobby Scores!", at the good ol' Hockey Game.

:: CHORUS ::
OH! The good ol' Hockey game, is the best game you can name.
And the best game you can name, is the good ol' Hockey game.

Second Period.

Where players dash, with skates aflash, the home team trails behind.
But they grab the puck, and go bursting up, and they're down across the line.
They storm the crease, like bumble bees, they travel like a burning flame.
We see them slide, the puck inside, it's a 1-1 hockey game.

(Chorus)

Third Period. Last game of the playoff too!

Oh take me where, the hockey players, face off down the rink.
And the Stanley Cup, is all filled up, for the champs who win the drink.
Now the final flick, of a hockey stick, and the one gigantic scream.
"The puck is in! The home team wins!", the good ol' hockey game.

(Chorus x3)

(It's in!)(He shoots, he scores!)(Henderson scores for Canada!)
"

The Hockey Song - Stompin' Tom Connors

did you know Avril Lavigne covered that song?
