I am trying to install a video card for TV out and I cannot get it working. I have set the BIOS primary video card to AGP which is the type of card I have and when I put in that card I get no display out of either that or my onboard video card....any suggestions?

make model of card/board
do you have the latest drivers
if you plug in a video card bios should automatically make it default/primary

I can't look up the motherboard make right now but the video card is an NVIDIA geforce fx 5200. Would downloading updated drivers for the computer itself affect anything...or are you talking about the video card drivers...all I did was instal the ones that came with it.

ok the motherboard is a IntelĀ® 82845G and I have updated all of the drivers.

The error I get is one of those windows has detected a serious error and needs to close, and then asks to send or not send an error report. The two file names that appear are hkcmd and igfxTray.

any help you can give would be appreciated...thank you

EDIT: I also updated the driver for the video card from their website.
