So my parents are old-fashioned and have not given in to getting cell phones yet. I was thinking about getting them a couple of prepaid phones for Christmas just so they can try the whole cell phone thing out. The only company I can seem to find that offers true prepaid plans without having to pay a daily access fee is T-Mobile. I was wandering if anybody has T-Mobile that can vouch for the coverage. My parents live in Wilkes County which is up near Boone and Hickory. There online map shows coverage but it looks like it would be pretty weak. Thoughts??? 11/15/2006 8:19:09 AM |

it's great up here around norfolk/va beach

t mobile is the same as cingular, so a better question would be to ask how well cingular works up there being that cingular is a more prevelant carrier.
and cingular works fine(for the most part) in the populated areas of the mountains.
just make sure you get a package that allows for roaming (tmobile, cing, and suncom are all gsm carriers) 11/15/2006 9:42:20 AM |
