I formated my hard drive on an old computer and installed windows XP with the CD that came with the computer. Now my resolution is stuck at 640X480 and I can't access the internet (I figured a windows update would do a word of good). I stuck in the CD that came with my monitor and it says it is installed, then to restart, when I do it is still not recognised in the monitor tab of the advanced settings. I have the internet on my laptop (I know my router is working) and the internet worked on the very computer I reformatted before I did it. Any file I can download and put on that computer to help it out? any other ideas to get things back right?
