Herb still sucks. lol.

Great guy and all...but as a coach we were vanilla, couldn't make adjustments, and just straight up never was going to see any elevated success.

With Lowe I feel at least the spirit and passion back. So, this thread in effect sucks.

Herb = Mediocrity

Did anyone really enjoy the past few seasons? Our record was okay and we got the the NCAA.. but why settle for mediocrity. Herb sucked against UNC, okay vs. Duke and whenever our 3's weren't dropping, we could lose to some nobody.

I'm so sick of people still talking about herb but this is just flat out untrue. I don't recall a single game since my freshman year ('99) that we lost to a 'nobody' honestly. Just because people are so ignorant to the basketball world outside of the ACC that they dont' realize that Seton Hall made the NCAA tourney the year they beat us, or that Syracuse has been a pretty good program for a long time, or that Charlotte has been solid for a long time. etc, etc doesn't mean they aren't good.

I don't recall losing to a single 'what the fuck' team at all in fact, though I may be overlooking one. I know one thing for certain, it wasn't something that happened as often as people seem to say on here... Well my freshman year in '99 we may have lost to Tulane now that I really think about it, but I also think they were ranked at one point that year but that isn't a big program by any stretch.

Which is why there was pressure on him and a change was ultimately made (by both sides), which is fine. Saying that is plenty enough. People shouldn't have to make up things that aren't true, which happens all too often with regards to the program the last decade, to bolster their argument.
