I worked temp over the summer in Wilmington. It was really great. It was a temp to hire job, but they let me go to come to school. I walked in and interviewed right after I gave them a resume and filled out an application and started as a Customer Service Representative at Unifirst Uniforms the next day. I looked at agencys here in Raleigh, and found that most of them are for constructiony type jobs. It was through ABC Temp services- they might have one up here.

I work for IBM through ManPower. I would recommend them. Angela and Reese at the Durham office are great!

I'm currently working through Temporary Solutions in Raleigh. They get ppl jobs with the state, and the State of NC pays pretty decent. No benefits, but the clerical work isn't bad.

A guy I go to church with works for Express Personnell in Raleigh. His name's Mike Tidwell. give him a call at 788-9575. He's a little geeky but he'll help you out.

What type of work are you looking for? Different agencies specialize in different things.

I went to Robert Half Technologies before my present job. They are plastered all over the "helpwanted.com" websites. http://www.roberthalftechnology.com/portal/site/rht-us . They do administer skills tests so if you apply to a job that requires a specific skill, you'll be tested on it. (Although I do remember scoring "average" on a C# exam when I had never programmed in C# in my life ... had some VB.NET and C++ background and winged it from there).

Yeah Kelly Services is good. They got me a temp job in RTP that got my foot in the door for my current job. It really depends on what your field is though. Kelly is good biotech and maybe some office stuff, Adecco is good for office stuff, etc.

I would say Mega Force, but they don't do much in the Raleigh area.

It really depends on what you are looking for. Manpower and Kelly Services would be good to go with. I've for worked for both in the past.

Whatever you do, don't use ACC staffing.

I signed on with them trying to find something science related.

They put me through three shit jobs before I told them to fuck themselves.
