does anyone have these? just curious if they are really worth 100$. I just lost mine and am looking for a new pair. The set of headphones I lost were only 20 dollars and sounded great.

I've never heard of these before, but for in-ear headphones, I can highly recommend Shures. I had a pair of E3's, and recently purchased some E4's. They're a little more than the Bose, but the quality is superb.

if you're looking to spend just $100, go with the Shure e2c headphones. I've had my pair for over two years now and they're the best. Of course if you can afford more a expensive set, get the e3c or e4c if possible.

Also Shure's 2-year warranty is amazing. My original e2c earphones broke, after just slightly over 2 years of use, and I sent them back without receipt for a free replacement within 5 days. Amazing.

I'll buy e4c's if I have to replace these again, but go with Shure if you buy in ear headphones.

Bose does not make the best Audio gear for the money.

If their headphones were 40% cheaper, then they MIGHT be worth considering.

I've had 2 pairs of e2c's break on me. I'll have to try the whole sending back w/o receipt thing (just over 2 years..)

But sound quality is magnificent. I'll buy some e4c's soon probably.

im always of the camp of logrithmic performance gains. i cant imagine 100 dollar headphones being that much better than some good 50 dollar ones. i say if you liked your 20 dollar headset, get another pair.

^^ check out Shure's FAQ on sending them in for Warranty service

The build date on the headphones is stamped on the side of the plug, and mine were out of the 2-year period but they replaced mine for free anyhow.

I've had the Shure e2cs for a few months now and I really enjoy them. I got them on Amazon for about $70 (brand new of course). They seem pretty sturdy and haven't given me any problems. I would defintely recommend them.

I'm not sure how much better the 3c or 4cs are, so I can't really compare them, but I've heard its worth the extra dough if you have it.

^i haven't really bothered to read the other thread, but at a scan of the titles, there is a difference between an earbud and an in-ear monitor. i have a feeling people are probably making recommendations for the two interchangeably, but they're not the same thing.

i have a pair of Etymotic ER-4P's, and they're brilliant. You can find them for about $160, but they have another model, the ER-6, which sells for about $80.

i actually just had the chance to try the shure e2cs for a second time and i have to say they are pretty impressive. the first time i tried them i concluded that they sucked asss but then relized that for bass they have to be pushed into your ear a bit . they come with tons of options as far as what ear piece u want on em. great headphones if u can get a deal on em .
