I'm looking for a used car (one that hasn't been wrecked and is without problems). I prefer with high mpg.

^^ Don't waste your time with a Saturn. They may be fuel efficient but after 80,000 miles they start to consume shit tons of oil.

My husband is selling a 98 ford escort if you are interested. It's $1850 and gets around 30-32 mpg. PM me if you want more info.

My mother's 89 used to get around 28mpg. My friend's mother's 92 got about 25. My 2000 gets about 18-24 depending on city vs highway, but mine is the police package so its a little heavier. So that mpg is not totally out of whack.

^Thanks for the info, but I am looking for something cheaper. This is almost new, not used.

Still looking. High mpg, low price.

Go to autotrader.com or cars.com and get a import like a toyota, honda, and some nissans. Its asian thing but its worth it for the money and long haul. I think you'll be happy and just look around. I don't recommend anything American made unless its well maintained. Saturns are okay as well when it comes to buying anything american made. Check the carfax and don't buy from a dealer, especially small dealers, get a mechanic to check it out. Also remember to haggle b/c its key to a great deal!!! If you want it to last then make sure the mileage is under 100k, title is clear and well maintained, older drive preferable, and take it to a mechanic. Good Luck

Far from true, my Saturn has 122k miles on it and barely uses more than half a quart of oil between changes, runs 5W-30 too, so its not like I'm running some heavy weight oil to prevent it being used.
