How can Michigan be the best team in the country if they lost to #1 already in their last game? Wait, don't answer that because it doesn't matter. This isn't about how is the best team in the country, it's about who should play the best team in the country..

You also need to look at who the teams BEAT. Michigan beat one very good team, in Notre Dame (though most will say they are overrated) and one good team, in Wisconsin (who I say is nowhere near as good as their record -- they played pretty much the entire MAC ooc). SC beat the same ND and 2 teams playing for a BCS bowl Saturday. If Michigan scheduled Oklahoma or even Texas over Ball State and whoever else then we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.

Oh and yes I fully realize that Michigan beat who was on their schedule. However, you can't have your cake and eat it too. The same Michigan fans who said that WVU and/or Louisville wouldn't deserve it over UM because of their schedule are now using the same excuse they put down by and large (and i know not EVERY UM fan made that excuse but in general..)

I think there are two things swaying people towards wanting a rematch. 1) All the Michigan fans want it and there are quite a few Michigan fans on here; and 2) People are sick of SC being so good.

Logically, when you look at it, I don't see how anyone can have a problem with SC being there. They had a damn fine schedule. Far, far tougher then Michigans. That isn't really debatable.

how can you possibly say that tOSU doesn't have a defense based on the Michigan game? they forced 3 and outs and dominated the field position game enough in the first half to allow their offense to score and maintain a 2 possession game. The game wasn't even close through most of the second half, so they went into a conservative prevent style defense hoping to just milk away at the clock and ride away with a win.
