if it's open, your best bet is trading it in to an ebstop or selling it here.
fwiw, i'll start the bidding at $20

Do people not read anything about products before buying them? Am I the only person that doesn't base my purchases purely on box art? Jesus fucking christ.

^^That's what I thought. Every preview was skeptical and then the reviews blasted the game. Anyone who bought Red Steel probably thought "Guns and swords? How can I lose?" Sadly, it's the second highest selling launch title.

My wii purchase on launch day was a last min idea. I didn't do any research before hand on the games. I had read up on the system and knew I wanted Zelda. I purchased Red Steel because of the preview I saw at the beginning of the year. The first videos I saw on it made me want a Wii so bad. However, after I got home with the game I looked at the reviews of it and saw all the issues. So I returned it.

Eh, it's really not that bad. You gotta stand to play it, and turn the controller sensitivity to low, but once you get used to the controls it's actually really good imo. Not perfect by far, but definitely not as bad as the reviews make it out to be.

thats my only thing with first person shooters on the Wii, i dont think the contoller scheme is as suited as thumb sticks. Dont get me wrong, its great for somethings but the shooters are gonna need some more development before their really good. Then again the Wii isnt really marketed as the kind of console with a bunch of shooters, it's not an xbox.

IGN reports that the latest build of Metroid Prime 3 had 1st person controls that were better than dual analog, but not quite at the level of the mouse/keyboard combo.

I was going to get Red Steel on launch day, then the dismal reviews told me to stay away. When both IGN and Gamespot essentially give the game a rating of "sucks," your best bet is to stay away.

1. Go to wii.ign.com
2. Click on "Previews"
3. Navigate to Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
4. Read latest preview.

I got Red Steel on launch day, It plays amazingly. The reason it got a lot of bad reviews is that the cutscenes could have been much better instead of just still images with dialogue. This however gives it a very comic book type feel. Also the sword controls aren't 1:1 (but neither are zeldas). The gun control is very easy, maybe a lot of people suck at pointing at a guy and pulling the trigger.

Oh and call of duty got a lower rating, not sure why other than it being another WWII shooter.

Does it really play amazingly? The reviews I've seen say the controls don't add anything, the swordfights are really weak, and that it's just a mediocre shooter.

I think it plays amazingly, I haven't had this much fun with a shooter, since Perfect Dark on the N64. The controls take some getting used to, but once you find a comfortable position for the remote pointing at the tv (I like sitting with my arms sorted of propped up by my knees) it gets fairly intuitive. A lot of the game is spent shooting at waves of enemies then flipping over tables and hiding and waiting for them to reload the pop up and shoot them and duck back down again. It is very much a game about shooting and aiming skills, as FPS are supposed to be.

Play one and decide for yourself. Definitely best value for your money in a next-gen system unless you're willing to make a bet on the success of bluray vs. hddvd and consider the PS3 a cheap bluray player.

I actually like this game..yeah I hated the first 45 min trying to get used to the controllers and fine tuning the sensitivity, but its a great game, my only flaws with it are

1. Couple clipping problems
2. the bad guys shout annoying stuff every 10 seconds "YOU WON'T GET AWAY!!!!"
3. Sword Play not that great, but still fun
