Looking for new phone advice

My family just renewed our Sprint cell service and we all got new Sanyo Katana phones (cept my dad but I don't think he has any complaints with his phone). The katanas were $50 after rebate + buy one get one free as one of their current promotions. We have 30 days in which we can change our minds.

Dislikes about the Katana:
-Horrible battery life (3.6 hours of talk time is advertised -- more like 1 - 2 hours in our experience)
-They offer a higher capacity battery but want $50 for it
-Bluetooth support for headsets, phone as modem, and OPP contact send/receive only. Can't send or receive calendar items, files (pictures), or anything else like that.
-Even with a data cable you can only transfer contacts or use phone as modem.

What we're looking for:
-Better battery life
-Ability to Add/remove games, ringtones, pictures, contacts, etc by a data cable.
-Better Bluetooth support isn't a must but would be nice.

Suggestions?

i said full bluetooth support isn't a must. PDA phones support bluetooth file transfers, other bluetooth devices (GPS and all the other gadgets at radio shack).

Any of the other Sanyo phones will let you transfer ringtones by data cable. My RL-4920 was a good phone and I think Sprint still offers it.

BTW, don't get anything but a Sanyo, because the reception sucks on the other phones.

If you get sprint, get sanyo...they are the most durable phones sprint carries (minus several of the beastly motorollas). Problem with motorola though is their interface sucks. I've had three Sanyo's from Sprint and all but one caused serious problems (just a defective phone). The sprint people told me that they've had lots of problems with samsung flips snapping

I got my mother and I LG LX350s. I got my sister one of the Nokia flip phones
As far as transferring games/pics/etc - check bitpim and sprint and see if there are any options there. Battery life on the LGs is insane. My mother uses hers for maybe 5 or 6 short calls a day, and her charge lasts about a week. If I play games at work on mine, I can eke out 36 hours; if I don't, I can go 2 or 3 days.
Bluetooth ... hahahaha.

Nokia: haven't toyed around too much. I think I need to re-install PC Suite for my sister's phone to do the transfers. Her battery life is pretty good. Can't remember if she's got bluetooth options or not, but that's easy enough for you to look up
