I'm going to be living there for a couple months. Anybody know some good things to get into or to go see?

they actually have a good zoo, museums, downtown shopping all things we dont have in raleigh

of course if you like cars at all go to the speedway museum or if there during the summer, go to the 3 races, Indy500, US Grand Prix, and Brickyard 400

Nothing really interesting in town, but Chicago is only 3 hours away, in fact a lot of towns are about 2-3 hours away, including Cincinnati, Chicago, St. Louis, etc

I hear Indy has the highest concentration of singles (young professional age) in the country... just find a bar!

PS Let me know how you like it - I'm thinking of moving there soon.

all the roads are parallel and perpendicular so its hard to get lost and its flat, so navigating it after living here is a breeze.

my parents always complain about much they hated it when they lived there but i really cant see how it can be that bad

indiana as a whole is a pretty crummy state though

My sister lives in Indianapolis. When I went there, it was nice. I wished I could have went inside Conseco Fieldhouse. Just make sure you enjoy cold weather during this time. My sis said it snowed last week a little.

Downtown Indy is a blast. They've got a shit-ton of bars, clubs, restaurants and such to check out.
