when i used to play, they used to take a bunch of gametypes down before updating and adding new ones. however, seeing as this game is old, this is unlikely

basically, they cut down the number of playlists to ensure that there are enough people in each one. this makes matchmaking take less time to find players.

they pick which playlists to cut based on popularity
