I PERSONALLY DO NOT WANT PAUL JOHNSON!

LSU's JIMBO FISHER FOR NEXT NC STATE FOOTBALL COACH!

(especially if he brings the Auburn defensive coordinator with him!)

you people are sure good at reading up on a guy. it's been said time and time again, he runs the offense he has the recruits for.

Fisher could be another Amato. We know PJ WILL NOT be another Amato, and that's a guarantee.

No need in getting pissy about this shit. Any new coach will have risks and knocks on them. You won't know until you give them a chance. You aren't going to find someone who will automatically win a championship. After all, they wouldn't be available.

It's like entry level hiring. The thing that matters the most is the good judgement of people doing the hiring because what's on the resume is not going to be a perfect match for the job.

Jimbo Fisher is by far the better choice. He can recruit and will develop a coaching staff unlike Paul Johnson who will bring in his less than stellar staff. Also, talk all you want about Navy winning, it's easy to do when you play cupcake city state college.

yes, because he ran that at hawaii...

have you not seen any of the interviews where he said that the only reason he runs that is b/c he hasnt had a chance to recruit the players he wants to run it.

win and the recruits will come. PJ will win.

The offense was the same. Everything about it was the same, he just so happened to pass from the wishbone.

ok, here's one.

Steve Kragthorpe.

I said it once, I'll say it again.

The people who want Jimbo think winning recruiting wars=winning titles.

jimbo won at lsu, so he'll win here.

i mean, that worked out with an FSU assistant with 2 NC's, right?

we need an anti-amato. jimbo isnt it.

Chuck was never a Coordinator. I wish people would understand that and not compare the two.

Being a position coach and being a coordinator are not the same thing.

No we just understand that winning recruiting wars positions yourself for winning titles.

Losing recruiting wars positions yourself for failure.

I would be happy with Jimbo or Johnson, Jimbo's offense has averaged like at least 350 yards a game over the past few years, and Johnson is a bonafide winner.

What the fuck makes you think that a proven coordinator is going to be that much better than a proven coach??

And how do you know Paul Johnson won't be able to recruit?? And given Amato's tenure and Wake Forest's succes this year...why would you weigh recruiting so heavily over coaching??

And please quit the wolfpack club and give up your lifetime rights so I can move up higher.

I expected better from someone who usually knows their shit but nutsmackr?

Johnson was OC at fucking Hawaii, guess what? They throw the ball every damn play.

Just like when I get hated on for saying Cutcliffe was the best option, people are ignorant and don't know who he is.

oh my jesus. THis is my biggest problem with the Johnson folks. They completely make up false statements in order to back up Johnson.

It's been changed slightly since Johnson left, they now throw from the spread offense instead of the wishbone. I personally do not want to see 2 yard fullback dives that make the wishbone offense function

i dont understand why it matters how you score as long as you score, and also offense is nice but you have to play both sides of the ball if you want to win championships, i mean lets not forget the phillip rivers days

^*8 We pro-Jimbo supporters are not saying that PJ will not be able to recruit at all if he gets the NC State job, but if you put a top 10 talent between the two of them and asked me which coach do I think would win the recruit, I'd be like,

FUCK 'EM, JIMBO COACHED AT LSU, who the hell is NAVY... WHERE's MY LOI Coach Fisher?!

Unlike Amato, I think Fisher will be able to recruit and win football games. He is a proven winner at LSU unlike Amato was at FSU, and he's an offensive mind so you know he will come to the field to score points EVERY game...

He will want to crush the opponent, not just hang and diddle with the opponent like Amato, and take the "W" as early in the game as possible...

Plus he comes from the winners circle in the SEC... He knows how to be competitive in football....

Yes, because I don't want to run an antiquated offense anymore, I must be in support of a failure of a coach.

^Chuck was an assistant coach and not a coordinator. Plus, Jimbo was involved in rebuilding the LSU program

Wasn't the former Duke coach OC under Spurrier at Florida or something like that?

We see how well that worked out...

Regardless of who is the coach, I'll still watch next year, which is more than we can say for the fan that started this thread.

Plus, Fisher has been offered the coaching position at Miss State, Ole Miss, and Cincinnati, but he turned them down because he didn't feel it was the right fit.
