i'm not convinced trestman wouldn't do a decent job not under amato, to be completely honest.

that may be a little too risky though.

i agree, ive always heard chuck was a bit of a control freak when it came to playcalling. i still think i'd rather give a new guy a shot though.

God please stop hating on Trestman.

It is not his fault that Chuck did nothing to supply him an offensive line or a QB.

Let him stay and work with Beck/Burke this year and then judge.

hopefully hell keep stroud, meyers, and dixon, stroud and dixon can recruit florida, and meyers is a really good o-line coach. i think williams and portee will retitree. but i also think that stroud and meyers will follow chuck wherever.

Per David Glenn's blog...

Quote :
"According to sources at BC, the Eagles will look outside their program for O'Brien's successor. That means it's likely that O'Brien will bring all or most of his BC staff with him to Raleigh, including assistant head coach/recruiting coordinator Jerry Petercuskie and long-time coordinators Dana Bible (offense) and Frank Spaziani (defense). O'Brien's staff at BC was one of the most stable in the nation. All nine of the Eagles' assistants held their positions for at least the last four seasons, and five have been with O'Brien for eight years or longer."

chuck Herring for linebackers and defensive line coach.

people really dont realize how much Chucks assistants did for him.

Just look at Arkansas defense now with Herring there.

he was d-line and LB's at fsu for 18 years...

not that i actually want him back, i just think its funny that people always thought he was the DC at fsu or that he'll ever be a good HC or coordinator

I think having good coaching chemistry is going to be huge. We really haven't had much stability or chemistry over the Amato years.

"With associate head coach/recruiting coordinator Jerry Petercuskie, offensive coordinator Dana Bible, offensive line coach Don Horton, running backs coach Jason Swepson, and tight ends coach Jim Bridge all set to join former coach Tom O’Brien at North Carolina State, according to team sources, it was thought Jagodzinski might try to preserve some continuity on the staff by keeping some defensive assistants."
