I usually don't go after tactic's rpgs, but this one is sickening fun to love, and hate the enemies.

Make sure you get at least one Mathematician with Flare (i think its Flare). Do some amazing damage that way.

Incredible game. The story is surprisingly tragic, and the soundtrack is one of my favorite FF scores of all time. There are also some excellent glitches late in the game which you can exploit to multiply your weapons. Samurai are surprisingly useful when you don't have to worry about their damn rare weapons breaking.

i agree with axelay but i'd also like to add that the hordes of characters and sloppy translation make the story confusing to follow sometimes. and when i'm talking sloppy translation i mean plenty of mispelled words and incorrect grammar. and the music is truly epic.

i didnt care for the magic much

mostly everyone was a knight/samurai/monk for me

an EASY way to gain experience or job points.. use knight skills, surround an enemy, break its attributes over and over till zero, then use whatever skills you use to replenish those attributes. repeat as necessary.

I forgot the exact names of the "breaks" but you should know what im talking about. break down attack, magic, defense skills, etc

Ninja/monk is tremendously powerful. Great move range, higher melee attack power than any other combination thanks to dual wield, blade grasp is just plain unbalanced, plus they can heal themselves. To top it all off, once you have a huge arsenal, you can throw rare weapons like they were shuriken. Orlandu is pretty much the only thing any more broken as far as balance.

I remember Cloud being a HUGE disappointment. All that work to get a level 1 character? Complete waste of time.

I loved my monk and dragoon. All of a sudden your dragoon falls from the sky a few rounds later and destroys someone if they haven't moved and you're all like, oh shit I forgot about you.

You can't expect to compare FFT to any opther FF game
