I took my friend's CV axle nut off with a 450 lb/ft gun cranked all the way up... and just barely. Don't try and buy an electric one for something like this. 12/11/2006 11:21:03 AM |

i take these off everyday without a gun.
get a breaker bar.
and a lifetime warrantee thick flathead screwdriver.
stick the screwdriver in the caliper slot where the rotor is, it will hold it.
then be a man and pop it loose 12/11/2006 11:46:02 AM |

We just popped the center cap off the wheels, and used a breaker bar with the car on the ground. 12/11/2006 12:31:02 PM |

Of course it's not the best one out there, but most of the really low end ones seem to only be rated at 300 or less. This was a 1/2" drive too.12/11/2006 3:07:07 PM |

the handle from my floor jack and a good breaker bar work great for me. If it can't be accessed with the tires on, just prop a god pry bar between two studs and the ground and it works great. 12/11/2006 6:17:36 PM |

you pussies and your impact guns, if i stand on a 3ft breaker bar, and i weigh 270#, that means my ass develops 810 ft-lbs of torque, add some bouncing and that can easily soar to over 1200 12/12/2006 7:51:52 AM |
