instead of havig my name in the first drop down box and the names of everyone ive talked to with links to their histories in the bottom drop down box

their name is in the top box and theres nothing in the bottom

basically its not recording any of my IM convos anymore

Check the options of AIM + and see where the history files are located. Go to that directory and make sure they're actually there and that the hard drive isn't full or something weird like that.

AIM is the perfect example of this.

AIM+ is not compatible with versions of AIM beyond 4.8. You're using a version of AIM that is newer than 4.8. I didn't realize there were still people that used AIM+. I wrote a better history viewer for it and posted it on their forums ages ago. I wonder if anyone still uses that. Before I got rid of the old website it had like 100,000 downloads.

I still run 4.8 with AIM +.

It allows me to chat with people on my buddy list. in a window with no ads or any of that other extra crap.

Really, what else do you need?

it clones and does everything else just fine

it doesnt stop the aim today thing from popping up though

I couldnt transfer any pics etc to people on newer aim versions and vice versa. It bothered me enough to move to Trillian, but now it will no longer allow me to send stuff out (only receive)

^ You can get these older versions easily. Still running 4.8 and Aim+ here.
