Unlike the compass, this one is actually aesthetically pleasing. Also, it's very similar in size to the Jeep Cherokee, gets good mpg (25/30) and starts around $15k.

yeah I definitely liked these when they first started showing up in pics...
wonder if you could get it with a navi system
probably could for an extra k
dont like the macpherson strut FS and IRS in the back...
that will make me hold on to my dual solid axle GC for a few more years probably

With all these words like "Patriot" and "Freedom" thrown into it, you would think it was some sort of failed Bush administration surveillance policy 12/14/2006 3:12:13 PM |

Yeah, Jeep's nomenclature sucks.
In the rest of the world the Liberty is known as the Cherokee. 12/14/2006 3:42:06 PM |

so other than irs, what is the difference between this and the grand? why have two almost identical models? 12/14/2006 5:06:37 PM |

This one's based on the dodge caliber chassis like the compass.
The grand cherokee would probably whip this thing's ass going offroad, plus the grand cherokee can come with a hemi and is a midsize, not a compact SUV.
I think that's the difference, somebody feel free to correct me if I messed up. 12/14/2006 6:54:02 PM |

I believe this "vehicle" is FWD standard. This vehicle would get its ass kicked by a Subaru offroad

It took me 3 weeks to realize that my new car ('03 Marauder) doesn't have an ashtray. Normally that's where I throw my change but this one has a coin organizer in the center console storage area. Once I finally got to looking for it...nope. No ashtray whatsoever. Sucks for the smokers I guess. 12/16/2006 2:41:30 AM |
