Do the Scientific America HD DVR boxes broadcast in 1080p? Time Warner or any HD provider for that matter broadcast in 1080p?

It looks like only 1080i, 780p, and 480p are the majority of formats that I have seen.

I don't think you can get any programming in 1080p yet.

Time Warner doesn't carry a 1080p box yet...and they don't choose to support any outside market boxes (like the Sony DVR that handles 1080p)

plus, TWC is almost always the last to update their signals, so i wouldn't expect them to offer 1080p anytime soon

Why would TWC support 1080p, when their existing HD support is pretty much crap?

I don't even know if I could tell the difference between 1080i and 1080p.

I don't think any of the television companies can afford to broadcast in 1080p. I thought I read that it would probably be this way for years and years to come.

I'd much rather have them fix the issues a lot of people have with the sound on HD channels before bothering to add support for a definition nobody broadcasts in.
