I am listening to my Nexus 50 at my desk right now while I work and must say I love this thing. I got mine at CC on Black Friday for $39.99. Now mind you, that didn't come with a year subscription, so he is right, this is still a damn good deal. 12/15/2006 3:07:30 PM |

^ LOL ... classic tdub
I was looking for mp3 player going into this thread, didn't realize it has to have a subscription. Crazy how xm radio has taken off. How is it different aside from not having ads? 12/15/2006 9:41:55 PM |

well this unit will work as an mp3 player w/o the xm subscription , but the unit is already activated with a pre-paid 1 yr subscription.
Well it has ALOT less commecials, it's cd quality sound, you can listen to the same station form here to cali, over 70 music differnt channels 60 other channels including talk, comedy, children , etc. including fox news and you can get every nhl, golf , acc, pac10 and big 10 game play by play. i doubt u can listen to normal radio after u've had it. 12/16/2006 12:36:08 AM |

The only thing to remember is the Nexus is not live when your carrying it portably. It MUST be docked into the home or car kit to play live XM. The fancy ones that play on the go are the Inno, XM2go, etc. and they run a LOT more. I personally listen to a lot of rock music, some classical and country, and I have really enjoyed the holiday channels. I also listen to Opie & Anthony a lot and the comedy channels, several of which are totally uncensored. It is worth it for this unit though. I set mine to record O&A replay at night and then I listen to it and delete out the commercials and just carry it with me while I work. Does great in this role. 12/16/2006 8:25:07 AM |
