Opinions of Tdub's great or notsogreat guitar players are welcome. If you own a guitar, what do you think you should be able to play decently?

Well probably the first songs I ever learned were Bad Moon Rising and Smells Like Teen Spirit, most people know them cause they're easy to start with....

those, particularly Smells Like Teen Spirit, really aren't great acoustic numbers.

I 2nd Tangerine, Wish You Were Here, and Plush.

I'll add Over the Hills and Far Away to the list. Rooster (by AiC) and Under the Bridge (RHCP) also work out well on acoustic. Patience (by GnR) is a no-brainer, along with She Talks To Angels (Black Crowes, and it's properly played in open-E). Oh, and Melissa (Allman Brothers Band). Also, anything by Yngwie Malmsteen or Steve Vai (just kidding).

Better Man by Pearl Jam works out surprising well on an acoustic.

Lol, I remember that

Where do you all dig up tabs/music for this? Do you just google for it or is there a particularly good site to visit?

When I started out, I was a big fan of:

Wish You Were Here
Holland, 1945
House of the Rising Sun
Nowhere Man
A Day in the Life
All Apologies

Very recently, I've worked in:

Stairway to Heaven
While My Guitar Gently Weeps (more commonly the version on acoustic version, which can be found on Love!)
Knockin' on Heaven's Door
Wonderwall (it's my one vice. Any Oasis haters should check out Cat Power's cover)
Here Comes the Sun (my personal favorite)
Here She Comes Now
