Yeah, so kitty got angry and peed on my suitcase right before i left (that was a nice suprize on my trip).

Anyways- I've tried the enzyme stuff that's supposed to deal with it- didnt work
I've tried scrubbing it down with water+ baking soda (which someone else suggested)- and I think that's lessened it, but hasn't gotten rid of it entirely. (by it i mean the scent and i refuse to put anything in there till it's gone as I dont want it transferred)

Anyone else have suggestions? I cant exactly throw it into the washer or anything like that so...

it's a rather nice suitcase and the only one i''ve got (cloth not hard obviously or this would have been really easy to deal with).

This is going to sound crazy, but take it to the car wash. Use one of those car carpet shampooers up there and spray and suck it off really well. It works basically like taking a real carpet shampooer to it. It probably will not completely remove the smell, but it may make it bearable. Sadly, there is nothing really you can do to completely remove the smell short of burning your suitcase.

^ Know of a car wash with one of those carpet shampooers? i've never seen one.

But that's a pretty good idea. And it's actually about 60-80% gone but i'd rather it be like 100% or as close to gone as i can get it.

i suggest killing the cat first. this guards against any future problems with this.
i'm slightly kidding.
the carpet shampooing sounds like the best idea, and a couple gallons of febreze. that smell is ridiculous, so good luck with that.

Amazingly enough, we used Resolve when Smokey was sick and had an accident on the couch, scrubbed the hell out of it and it came out. Or at least, WE can't smell it anymore.

Try Nature's Miracle (cat pee formula) or Resolve for Pet Stains.

Yea, we normally use resolve for the pet stains on the carpet and what not. Does a pretty good job.

and you really want to put clean clothes in a suitcase that a cat has pissed in? have you ever smelled cat piss?

shampooing will not get cat piss out. in fact, there is absolutely nothing that will remove cat piss. if a cat pisses on your carpet, you must remove the carpet and padding, throw it in the trash, and then apply stain-blocker to your sub-floor before you install the new stuff.
if a cat pisses in your suitcase, you must throw it in the trash.

FUCKING PERIOD.

put it in the trashbag right next to the corpse of the cat that pissed in it.

Wins the thread. Cat piss destroys anything it comes in contact with. Which is why I would never own a cat.

...and luggage is cheap, so I second the "just get another suitcase" sentiment unless you are really set on saving it.

+1 on getting a new suitcase. There's no way that I'd trust that smell to not end up in my clothes.

Well, I know from what groomers use on dog's that have been skunked - they take a mixture of dish soap, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to rinse and get the smell out. Maybe that will work!

Not everyone's cat pees outside the litter box...but pretty much every dog will have an "accident" if left alone for hours/a couple days.

What the hell is a dog supposed to do if nobody takes it out? also, I've never heard of anyone doing it, but you could train a dog to go in a box, and it would never "have an accident"

I grew up with cats and never remember any of them ever peeing outside of their box. Well, one did and dad took it to the special farm that day.

^right. dog urine is totally different from cat urine. don't know how or why but i know if my dog pissed on the carpet, i could actually clean it and it wouldn't stink up to high hell like cat piss does.
