Here is a picture of what my current livingroom setup is. I'm getting a surround sound system for christmas and was wondering what your thoughts were on speaker placement. I know corner setups are a little different. It's a 5.1 system, btw.

yeah, we've thought about moving stuff around, but we're kinda limited in our options because of the shitty layout of the livingroom in the first place. Not too mention the couch is relatively large, and would like strange anywhere else. sucks

I think you should ust do what you can. You can't get an optimal setup in that room. Just take the suggestions for the guide I linked and roll with it.
