Exactly.

And if Stoops ever leaves, it will be on his own accord for another job. I've heard he is fed up with the psychotic boosters and their antics (see Rhett Bomar and Big Red's Autos) and his wife absolutely hates Norman. If Stoops ever leaves Norman, it will be on his own because he foresees NCAA intervention or because he finds something better. Still, Stoops most likely won't leave Norman.

There are so many holes in this thread its insane. Butch Davis was born in Oklahoma and went to high school there, but played his college ball at Arkansas. He was an assistant at Oklahoma State, not OU. There was a rumor at the beginning of the season that if Houston Nutt got fired from Arkansas, Butch Davis would be his replacement. That's why Houston Nutt was putting out feelers to NC State at the beginning of the year, because he knew that an average year would get him fired and that Chuck might be fired. Nutt was right about Chuck, but he saved his job by going 10-3. Butch Davis could be the next coach of Oklahoma if Stoops ever leaves for the NFL, but Arkansas or Alabama is more likely.
