i figured one of you queers with aftermarket wheels would know.

its kind of like a gorilla lug, but it has 7 splines instead of the 6 that a gorilla lug has. its open ended.

there is no clearance to put any sort of lug extracter in there. i need to get these wheels off of a front suspension that is laying on the ground, cuz we need the susp.

two of the rims are good, and it would be nice to keep them.

but there is no clearance for any socket. unless i take a BFH to it and ruin the rim.

Weld your bitch ass a long bolt on there. It works, but only if you have decent aim with a wire welder.

well i mean, if i have to i can get it off, but the whole point is im trying to save the wheels without getting tooo scuffed up, plus ive got 20 total lugs to take off..

so welding would be a bitch, although i have thought of it...
and well, it would take me about 20 days (lifetime warranty ones), or however much 20 12 point whatever size sockets i can fit in there..

i need to think of a cheap, quick solution to take all 20 off.

i wish it were just one lug on each wheel.

You oughta centerpunch each stud and then drill them out with a good set of cobalt bits (fuck that titanium candy nigger ass shit). Then, a nice, carefully placed whack with a rubber mallet will separate that motherfucker. Time consuming, yes. Functional. HELL YES.

plasma or grinder to cut off the back of the stud and hammer out from the back?
cut off the spindle to make it easier or are you trying to save those parts?

why would they make a lug nut that you couldn't take off.....there must be a key/tool to easily take it off - why even entertain most of these ideas?

thank you captian obvious thats what the fuck we are talking about, there are a hell of a lot of different types of keys so that really isnt a feasible option to try to identify it

i'm willing to bet you just want the tool that's listed here and just don't want the 20 wheel nuts
http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=EM&Product_Code=81-XXB-K0S0-BL

the is the 7 spline lug nut tool i found over and over again from a cursory search - are there more??

it looked like from a 2min. search that the main company that makes a heptagon lug nut is Mugen and there was one a two hits for Kyokugen

am i the only person that actually tried to figure out what it is as opposed to coming up with some crazy solution

i didn't find a lot of different types of heptagon lug nut keys - maybe i just didn't look hard enough though...

^ are you saying you can tell if won't fit by the picture without being given dimensions or something relative to the size of the item in the picture?

clearly you have thought this through

^ i'm saying its a motherfucking splined nut, not a seven flat sided one like that shit ass tool you linked to, you obviously have no idea what the hell you are talking about, so shut the fuck up

[Edited on January 3, 2007 at 11:06 AM. Reason : and yes the other one is too big, considering a 14mm stud is larger than 12mm stud you tard]

how about in internal pipe wrench? Is there enough of a cut out on the side of the nut? It looks like there is an indention in the middle.

i think we have a winner

[Edited on January 3, 2007 at 7:57 PM. Reason : it does say for a truck though so it might be a larger diameter but the pattern looks right]

^yeah, except the fact that the splines are on the inside.

from the picture looks like the splines are on the outside of the lug, so it should be a socket-style deal, not a key-style
