^^ shit, might as well just draft me if you're going to throw away the top pick when you could just as easily trade down to mid-late first round and accomplish the same.

Quinn won't go to Oakland but he has all the talent to make it big in the pros. I don't agree with what Weis said but if you watched ND the past few years Quinn gets NO protection and still put up great numbers. The reason he struggled against top athletic teams is that the rest of the team is slow as fuck from the Willingham era. Weis is putting together the best recruiting classes since Holtz...

Exactly. People get so pissed off at those who get hype that they turn into idiots who can't evaluate things on their own. Quinn clearly wasn't one of the Top 3 players in the country but he got hyped up. So what though?

I do think he is one of the Top 3 pro talents though based on the skills and talent he has. That doesn't always translate into the msot college success though... and vice versa (Ward, Wuerfell, etc.)

Brohm is the best QB in college and will hopefully go pro and the Panthers grab him and then we beat Louisville next year.

I think that playing in South Bend helped push his hype up a bit, but I do think he has the tools to be successful in the NFL. What sucks is that he'll wind up going to some team that needs more help than he can provide, he'll get thrown into the deep end of the pool, and he'll struggle early. That early struggling will lead people to second-guess his skills, much like they did guys like Tim Couch and Alex Smith. Jury's still out on Smith but I think Couch's confidence hit the shitter when the Browns struggled and they turned to Kelly Holcomb... like they should have done originally.

May have already been covered, but someone on espn made the good point that quarterbacks like Rivers, Roethlisberger make relatively small-time programs better. Brady Quinn did very little to help Notre Dame.
