I have a Valentine 1 radar detector that I'm looking to get rid of. I've had for about a year and it's in perfect brand new condition. I just hardly ever use it anymore. Almost everyone knows this is the best radar detector on the market. It comes with the detector, windshield mount, one spiral power cord, one straight power cord, cigarette adaptor. These retail for $400 and still go on ebay for around $350. I'm looking for $300. I'll post pictures early next week. 1/5/2007 2:29:21 PM |

whats all the POP1 POP2 mess about?
are radar detectors one of those things where you pay 3X the money for 1.5X the performance. Or is this radar detector that badass to warrant the high prices?
whats the serial number? 1/5/2007 2:45:13 PM |

it's a v1.8 it doesn't have the new pop stuff but thats only needed in europe and from what i've read doesn't do you any good in the united states. this thing is the real deal. i've had friends ride next to me on road trips with passports and other high end detectors and i'll pick up stuff a good mile ahead of him. i'm out of town until tomorrow afternoon but as soon as i get home i'll post the serial number. 1/6/2007 3:27:44 PM |

Supposedly the POP shit is supposedly a burst radar to pick up your speed immediately, then shuts off once the reading is taken (by the cops radar) so you would never pick any of the random radar waves in front of you like normal. I had a POP reading down in Garner on 70 a few weeks ago, lasted about 2 seconds. 1/7/2007 3:22:42 PM |
