I have been taking CleanseMore for like a year, and I have never had any problems. This week, I haven't been taking it, and I've felt ridiculously ill. Has anyone ever had a problem? Or even taken this before? 1/12/2007 3:29:29 PM |

no shit, sherlock.
[pun not intended]
you shouldn't be taking laxatives for that long, ever. clean up your diet and move your body, and you should be fine. granted, there ARE some people who have a need for laxatives even with a very healthy diet, but this is a medical problem and is very rare.
if you want natural laxatives, do what i do: i eat 4-5 prunes in the morning, and 4-5 before i go to bed. guaranteed bowel movement in 16-24 hours.
btw, what is in CleanseMore? can one of you who takes it tell me the ingredients?
a good one is Colon Pure by GNC. it is 100% psyllium seed husk, all natural.
soluble fiber is more effective at moving your system than insoluble fiber, in general. both prunes and psyllium provide soluble fiber. but prunes also contain massive quantities of sorbitol, which is a sugar alcohol. it is found in sugar-free products (like jam, gum, etc), and comes with a warning that it may produce diarrhea if taken in large quantity.1/12/2007 4:55:23 PM |

Well, my doctor is the one who told me to start taking this in the first place. I was having trouble that they thought was IBS, but it turned out that it wasn't the cleansemore was helping me to just be normal. So, its been a year basically, of taking it 3 times a week. I stopped taking it this week, because I figured MAYBE it would be normal. I am not having trouble at all with my bowels, but instead it honestly feels like some kind of withdrawl. Its just odd. I guess i'll be back at the doctor again! this really sucks.

^ try Colon Pure and/or prunes. (read my post)
prunes also have the highest antioxidant activity of ANY fruit, so they are a superfood that can keep your body young and healthy.
i would say, switch to prunes and/or Colon Pure. if you don't like prunes too much, alternate between them.
good luck.
p.s. are you getting enough fiber in your diet? see thread "Compendium of my past nutrition posts" by me, maybe on page 1 of the Lounge (or page 2). 1/12/2007 6:08:25 PM |
