ok, so i got a hold of a briggs and stratton 6.75HP lawnmower motor. now its still on the mower, and it works. ive always wanted to get a go kart rollin.

so

is that motor worthy enough

or should i keep the mower as a spare one??



thats the mower. but its older. still runs. took the "valve cover" off rocker arms are still damnnn clean.

what kind of frame do i get for these new motors??

there is a few on ebay, but they are pretty much "pick up"

it'll be pretty hard to make a vertical shaft motor work. you'd be alot better off finding a horizontal shaft.

look on craigslist, running go karts and ones that need work show up there pretty frequently.

^ yes and be way better to get ahold of a old honda cb engine or something in the same range and run that with a live rear end and a slap shifter.

removed the governor on my old mower and now i use it as an angry brush cutter. dr.chipper aint got nothing on my ole briggs.

and then i got my honduh type arghhh for my nice mower. bitch aint been starting the first pull lately, i guess i go kick it a few times this weekend, possibly change the spark plug

well i found this mower under the deck at one of our rental houses.

cleaned out the air filter (covered in mud) put some more gas into it. and it was good to go.

^^ lol. i have bad luck with briggs motors on push mowers in tall grass and weeds. hit a pipe sticking out of the ground once with one and bent the fucking shaft so bad i couldnt pull the rope out to start it anymore

Lawn mower engines are best used in lawnmowers. You can always sell it on Craigslist this spring and pick up a quick $50-$100.

some dude used to roll out a go-kart out of the back of a pickup and tear around the parking garage behind the best buy/old theator down on glenwood -- anyone else see this guy / know who this was?

i just remembered a friend of ours gave us a dirt bike motor. but i cant even remember where i put it for the life of me.



lemme get that honda motor of yours.
